Interested in Building a More Sustainable & Resilient Central New Mexico? Then, VSL is bringing together people and organizations who want to help create a Sustainable Society & Landscape Coalition for Central New Mexico—connecting the East Mountains, Albuquerque, and surrounding communities.
The idea is simple: bring people together who are already doing good work—or want to—and find ways to collaborate, share knowledge, support projects, and create greater collective impact.
Potential areas of focus could include: Water conservation & rainwater harvesting, Soil health & regenerative agriculture, Climate-resilient landscapes & urban forestry, Local food systems & food security, Pollinators, wildlife & biodiversity, Regenerative farming & ranching, Sustainable homes & communities, Waste reduction & resource conservation, Education & hands-on community workshops, Community resilience & local partnerships.
This gathering is free and open to residents, farmers, ranchers, gardeners, educators, nonprofits, businesses, neighborhood groups, conservation organizations, government partners, and others interested in working toward a healthier and more resilient region.
You'll have an opportunity to help shape what this coalition could become.
First meeting: November 21st, 10-11:30 a.m., Cherry Hills Library: 6901 Barstow St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111
No food or drinks allowed, but plenty of surrounding cafes and restaurants to enjoy prior to or after the meeting. Future dates and locations TBD.
Please share this with people and organizations who should be part of the conversation.
Healthy soils. Wise water use. Thriving landscapes. Stronger communities.
